El-Björn facilitated the installation of multiple Water Cooled Split Units within the data centre, deploying several of these smaller units strategically throughout the environment instead of relying on larger cooling units.
Due to the business-critical nature of the project for the client it was essential that all possibilities were accounted for to ensure the data centre was kept cool. By dispersing multiple units across the facility, we not only would ensure a more evenly distributed cool air throughout the data centre, but in the unlikely case that one of the coolers were to stop working, the others deployed units would be able to maintain the required cooling levels without interruption. This strategy not only provided a safeguarded from potential unit downtime, but also instilled a sense of confidence and reliability for our client during their software upgrade process.
Along with the split cooler units, El-Björn provided temperature monitors throughout the data centre feeding live information on atmosphere temperature through to our CONNECT online portal. This allowed the customer to view the real time temperature of the data centre as well as produce historic temperature reports.
In the end, our temporary cooling solution not only met but exceeded the expectations of our client.
