Client Specification

Winter can pose significant challenges for construction projects, especially when it comes to sealing concrete surfaces. Recently, we encountered a situation where our client faced a time-sensitive task of sealing concrete within an underground carpark. However, the recorded ambient temperatures were plummeting below freezing, far from the recommended range of 4°C to 32°C for ideal concrete sealing conditions.

Project Outcome

Our solution was to deploy a number of our TF 18EL EBC electric fan heaters. These efficient heaters were strategically spaced within the car park, using a combination of its powerful fan and effective heating elements to both agitate and warm the surrounding air providing a faster heating and drying solution for the client. The textile air distributor disperses warm air in 360 degrees of direction, allowing less units to be used resulting in a more energy efficient solution for the customer. The high-performance heating and drying capabilities of the TF 18EL EBC allowed the client to proceed with the concrete sealing process despite the harsh winter conditions. This not only averted potential cost overruns but also prevented any delays in the project timeline. This experience highlights the importance of being prepared for unexpected weather fluctuations in construction projects. With the right equipment and proactive measures, even the most adverse conditions can be overcome.
